Dr. Alshaymaa Mohamed Mohamed Ahmed (PhD) is an assistant professor of English and Comparative Literature, Humanities Department, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Cairo, Egypt. She was awarded her PhD in English and Comparative Literature, Arts and Humanities Department, Brunel University London, U.K. She is a member of The International Comparative Literature Association (ICLA). Her main academic interest is in postcolonial and feminist writings and discourses associated with colonialism, especially as they relate to Africa and The Middle East. Furthermore, her areas of particular interest include environmental justice, climate change, and the interface between the environmental humanities and the public humanities.
