Karim Hammad (Member, IEEE) received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Cairo, Egypt, in 2005 and 2009, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Western Ontario, Canada in 2016. From 2018 to 2021 he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University, Toronto, Canada, as a postdoctoral visitor. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering at the AASTMT, Cairo, Egypt. His research interests include wireless networks’ cross-layer design, high-performance computing in bio-informatics, and digital circuit design.
