Dr. Seif Bayoumi is working as an associate professor in Mechanical Engineering Department, Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Egypt. He received his PhD from University of Strathclyde, UK in 2013 and accomplished the U.S Department of State Program (IVLP) in 2017. Before his PhD, Dr. Bayoumi received a technical diploma from Danfoss Refrigeration Academy and Technical University of Denmark, Denmark in 2003, then B.Sc. from AASTMT, Egypt in 2005, M.Sc. of Mechanical Engineering from AASTMT, Egypt in 2007 and M.Sc. of Total Quality Management from Productivity and Quality Control Institute, Egypt in 2009. Dr. Bayoumi has conducted scientific research covering over 20 technologies mostly in renewable energies, water desalination, offshore and sub-sea technologies related to marine renewables. His research has been supported by various international organizations and governments including European Union, British Council, Chinese-Egyptian Research Fund and Saudi Arabia Program. He is also a Guest Lead Editor of a special issue in Advances in Mechanical Engineering Journal and a reviewer in Ocean Engineering, Ships and offshore structures and Jordan Journal of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering journals and IAMU AGA and Marlog conferences.
