Prof. Sara Elzarka is the dean of the International Transport and Logistics Institute. She is a Professor of Supply Chain Management. She is a board member of the International Supply Chain Education Alliance ISCEA - EMEA region. Prof. Elzarka is a board member of the Egyptian Company for Metro Management & Operations. She currently teaches Supply Chain Management and Logistics Management in the MBA program and in the ITLI postgraduate programs. Prof. Elzarka has previously taught courses in Principles of Management, Strategic Management, Marketing,International Business, Retail Management, Multimodal Transport and Research Methodology in the BSc program. She was the Program manager of the Higher FIATA diploma in Supply Chain Management. Prof. Elzarka's current research focuses on logistics and supply chain management skills and competencies, in addition to green supply chain management practices. Prof. Elzarka holds a BSc degree in International Transport Management from The Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport. And she received her MPhil/PhD in Supply Chain Management from the University of Huddersfield in the UK. Prof. Elzarka has published several research topics in supply chain skills and competencies and distribution. She also works as a freelance consultant for the EIB (European Investment Bank) and the EU commission on projects in the field of transport and logistics in the MENA region. Prof. Elzarka is involved in many funded research projects by the EU and IMO.
