Aziz Ezzat ElSayed is a Professor of Industrial and Management Engineering at the College of Engineering, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Alexandria, Egypt. Dr. Aziz is currently the vice president for Education and Quality Assurance. He held the position of the dean of the college of Engineering, AASTMT, Alexandria Campus from 02-2008 to 12-2011. He also was the dean of College of Computer Science (4-2009 to 2-2010) and the dean of the Industry Service Center From 07-2007 to 02-2008. Before Joining the Arab Academy in 7-2005, Dr. Aziz Ezzat previously held the position of the dean of the college of Engineering, Beirut Arab University (BAU), Lebanon during 2003 and 2004 Academic years and the chair and the founder of the department of Industrial Engineering in the same university from 2001 to 2003. Dr. Aziz has over 38 years of experience in the academic field of Industrial Engineering since He got his B.Sc. (1975), M.Sc (1978) in Production Engineering and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering (1983) from Alexandria University, Egypt. His experience includes working as a visiting professor with the School of industrial engineering, Purdue University, Indiana (1984-1986). He also worked as an industrial planning expert, Ministry of Planning, Saudi Arabia (1987-1994). His research interest lies in the analysis and improvement of Industrial systems performance, Industrial Facility Planning, production planning and Control, lean manufacturing, and process design. Dr. Aziz Ezzat supervised a vast number of research theses in the field of Industrial and Management Engineering. He is also a senior member of IIE, SME, and CASA of SME since 1984. He holds the genuine research award in engineering from Alexandria University, 1987, and the Best Teacher Award based on Student Polls, 2008 (AASTMT)
