Research topics/interests: - Life and death in the Ancient Egypt (tombs, rock-cut necropoleis and burial rituals); - Amulet scarabs found in burial context in Portuguese territory; - The ritual breaking the red pots; - The pioneering archaeological work carried out in Egypt in the 18th and 19th centuries; - The Musealisation of ‘Death’ - problems, needs and new visions; 1 - Academic qualifications - Professional Archaeology Assistant Course (three-year specialization) run by the E.P.A./Ministry of Education - Degree in History, Archaeology from FCSH-UNL - Master's degree in Archaeology (University of Minho), with the thesis ‘The archaeological site of Qubbet el-Hawa (Aswan): Contribution to its study’. - PhD candidate 2- Practical experience and specializations - Between 1995 and 2017 was responsible and scientific co-responsible for twenty archaeological works (excavation and study) relating to the Roman and Medieval periods in Portugal. - An internship in the Conservation and Restoration of archaeological remains at the Conimbriga Monographic Museum Laboratory. - Specialisation in Tourism, ‘Design, Management, Implementation, and Promotion of Routes in Cities Historic Centres’ and in the Management of Tourist Routes, by SETEPÉS/Ministry of Education. - Worked as a senior technician/researcher at the National Archaeological Museum of Lisbon and also at the Roman City of Tongobriga (Portugal). - Responsible for a number of projects: data and catalogue archaeological and Ethnographic collections for museums, such as the Vieira da Natividade House-Museum (Portugal) and Museum of Moncorvo (Portugal) 3- Participation in international projects - An effective member of the first Portuguese Archaeological Mission that carried out archaeological work at the ApriésPalace/ Kom Tuman/Mit Raina (ancient Memphis) Egypt, between 2004 and 2009. - Worked as a Field Archaeologist with the Swedish Archaeological Mission in Gebel el Silsila (Aswan-Egypt) under the guidance of Professor Maria Nilson (University of Lund) between 2016 and 2017. 4 -(Teacher/Lecturer) - Teacher/Trainer of different subjects, such as archaeological techniques and practices for the Archaeologist's Assistant course and the Heritage Management Technician course at the Professional School of Archaeology (between 2000-2009). - Lecturer on the first international course for specialists in Egyptology and new technologies, organised by FCSH-UNL/Inst. Oriental and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation's Education Project. - Responsible for the first Portuguese language course for Tour Guides at the Tour Guides Union (Aswan); - Invited to various lectures and open classes.Sincee 2018, she has been an Assistant Lecturer at the College of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage (AASTM) Aswan Branch -Egypt.
