biography

Prof. Dr. Rasha Abd El Aziz is a Professor and the Head of Business Information Systems Department at the College of Management and Technology, Arab Academy for Science and Technology, Alexandria, Egypt. She was awarded her PhD in 2009, the University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. She is a SAP Certified Business Associate. Her current teaching is mainly in the Business Information Systems field, including Digitalization, MIS and E-Business. She has published extensively (around 90 publications), a monograph, book chapter, academic journal articles and conference papers. She has supervised 30 academic students towards successful completion, 18 PhD/DBA theses in UK and Egypt, and 14 Master theses. She currently supervises theses in Egypt, UK and Spain, and acts as an external/internal examiner of PhD/Master theses at the GUC, Alexandria University and various AASTMT colleges. She is the Principal Investigator for several internationally funded projects by the British Council in collaboration with UK universities such as Brunel, Coventry and Northumbria. She participates in charity work with social responsibility teaching, research and donation activities. She is a member of the editorial board of IJEF - Inderscience, IBIMA and ABRM. She's also a reviewer to a number of specialized international conferences, academic peer-reviewed journals (AJBM- ICIS - ECIS - ELEC - ECRA -TQM - IBIMA - IJMIT - ASTESJ - EBIS - IJEB - iJET) at well-known publishers such as Emerald, ElSevier, Inderscience, Taylor and; Francis, AIS, and Springer.
