Prof. Ashraf Salah El-Din, 30 years of experience in Egypt and the MENA region. • Vice President and Board Member of the Institute of National Planning (INP). • Professor of Applied Economics and Finance at the Arab Academy of Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT). • Financial Consultant. After receiving his M.Sc. in Money, Banking, and Finance from Birmingham University in 1997 and his PhD in Financial Economics from Manchester University in 2004, he became a full professor at AASTMT. He has also taught a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate economic and financial courses at prestigious Universities such as AUC and Alexandria University. He has published a significant number of research papers in national and international world-class academically reviewed journals, focusing on the subjects of foreign investment, banking stability, financial inclusion, etc.. In addition to his long history of working as a certified trainer for various national/international corporations. He is also actively involved in practical life by conducting a variety of Feasibility Studies for numerous companies, public organizations, and authorities in the MENA region, as well as for several international organizations; Industrial Modernization Center (IMC), UNIDO, Elmadina Elmonaoura City Council (Saudi Arabia), and Ministry of Planning (Kuwait) through The Arabian Center for Consultations and Career Development - ACCCD. In addition to being a financial/performance evaluation consultant of public sector and private sector organizations in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and UAE in fields of medical and toiletries supplies, pharmaceuticals, food industries, fast-food chains, export and import, commercials agencies and PVC industries, and electrical appliances, furthermore being a consultant for some international entities, including; Trade Finance Maps, International Trade Centre (ITC), UNCTAD-WTO, Geneva, Switzerland. The Bloomberg Initiative and the Institute for Health Research and Policy, the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) for the Economics of Tobacco Taxation in Egypt. The Fulbright Commission and the Fulbright Exchange Program in Egypt. In terms of his managerial experience, he was nominated by H.E. Dr. Hala El-said, the minister of planning and economic development, to be the vice president of INP in July 2022, after serving in a variety of managerial roles at AAST, including vice dean of the college of management and technology, vice dean of the graduate school of business, and head of CMT marketing & international business department.
