Haytham El-Zomor is an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics section in the Arab Academy for Science and Technology (AAST) at Smart Village Campus. Prior to AAST, he worked as an associate professor at the Higher Technological Institute (HTI) as a Head of the Automotive Section. Dr. El-Zomor earned his doctoral degree in 2010 from Helwan University, Faculty of Engineering, Automotive and Tractors Department, as well as his master's degree in 2006. He conducted his bachelor's at the Higher Technological Institute, 10th of Ramadan City, and ranked first with a GPA of 3.82. Dr. El-Zomor’s research and engineering areas are vehicle mechanical and intelligent mechatronic systems, vehicle dynamic system modelling, CAD design, and control strategies. His research and design in autonomous ground vehicles includes but not limited to wheel power distribution optimization to enhance vehicle terrain mobility, manoeuvrability, and energy efficiency. Dr. El-Zomor is the author or co-author of 20 research articles. He participated in more than 7 numerous prestigious international and local conferences and academic workshops whether as part of the organizing committee or as a member of the academic program committee. Dr. El-Zomor is an active reviewer; he performed a number of reviews (Publons certified) for journals including the Journal of Vehicle System Dynamics, Part D: Journal of Automobile Engineering, and SAE International Journals. More than this, he performed a number of other reviews not listed in the Publons record.
