Dr. Mohanad Mohamed Ibrahim is an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering and Technology, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Alexandria, Egypt. He earned his B.Sc. (2018) and M.Sc. (2021) in Mechanical Engineering from AASTMT and was awarded a Ph.D. in Energy and Process Control from the University of Oviedo, Spain, graduating with the highest distinction (Sobresaliente Cum Laude). His doctoral research focused on nearly zero-energy buildings (NZEBs), building energy performance, and sustainable technologies for climate-resilient buildings. His research interests include renewable energy integration, sustainable building technologies, HVAC systems, and renewable energy-driven desalination. He has published several peer-reviewed articles in high-impact international journals, contributing to the advancement of energy-efficient buildings, decarbonization, and sustainable water–energy solutions.
