Heba Abdel-Wahah Youssef (BDS, MSc, PhD), is currently teaching at College of Dentistry, Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. Prior to the current post, she was an assistant lecturer at Faculty of Dentistry, Pharos University in Alexandria (PUFD) till 2016. She graduated from the faculty of dentistry – Alexandria University in 2003 at the 18th top place of her class with honor degrees. Through the period of 2004 till 2006, she had been actively involved in research as part of the tissue engineering laboratories team at the faculty of Dentistry – Alexandria University. She obtained her Master’s degree in conservative dentistry in 2013 with her thesis focusing on the area of dental biomaterials interaction in restorative dentistry. She has presented her work at several national and international congresses held in Egypt. She has several international publications in impacted peer-reviewed journals pertaining to the field of tissue engineering as part of the research team in the tissue engineering laboratories at the faculty of Dentistry – Alexandria University. She has been supervising several research graduation projects in the area of Restorative and dental biomaterials carried up by the final year students at the PUFD since the academic year 2012-2013 up to 2016. She is recently obtained her PhD at material science department, Institute of Graduate studies and Research, Alexandria University with main research focus on enhancing dental materials for the use in prosthodontics. Her most recent publication entitled Surface morphology and mechanical properties of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) composites reinforced by nano-sized silica (SiO2) for dental applications, has been ACCEPTED to be published in the International Journal of Nanotechnology, eISSN: 1741-8151 and will be published in Volume 18, Number 06, 2021.
