Amr N. Mohamed is an Assistant Professor at the Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design Department, College of Engineering, Arab Academy for Science, Technology, & Maritime. He received a B.Sc. in Architecture in July 2011. In 2017, and 2023 he received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Architectural Engineering and Urban Planning, Faculty of Engineering, Port Said University. His research concerns designing a new model to calculate walkability in the new residential neighborhood in a hot humid climate by modifying the current walk score methodology by ing outdoor thermal comfort in the calculation method. In 2019, I was invited to a workshop in Tu Berlin El Gouna about the future impact of climate change worldwide in El Gouna as a case study. In 2020, I was involved in a workshop Towards Safe, Inclusive and Accessible Public Spaces in the Arab State, 9-18 November 2020, UN-Habitat in collaboration with the Arab Towns Organization (ATO). Most of his research interest focuses on comfortable outdoor spaces, Coastal Cities and Smart Cities, social sustainability in outdoor thermal comfort, and Energy consumption in residential buildings and new communities. Also, he was a part-time assistant lecturer at Delta University, Shoruk Academy.
