Eng. Alaa M. Adel ElShazli served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Teaching Assistant in the Computer Engineering Department at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology (AAST) from 2013 to 2025. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from AAST, Alexandria, in 2013, and her Master's degree in 2016. Her master's thesis, titled “Computer-Aided Model for Breast Cancer Detection in Mammograms,” focused on enhancing early cancer detection using image analysis techniques. In 2025, she earned her Ph.D. from the University of Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom. Her doctoral research, titled “Intelligent Computer-Aided Systems for Breast Cancer Classification in Digital Breast Tomosynthesis Scans,” applied advanced artificial intelligence methods to improve diagnostic accuracy in the classification of medical imaging. Her research interests lie in the intersection of biomedical image analysis and intelligent systems, with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and deep learning (DL). She is passionate about developing interpretable and clinically relevant computer-aided diagnostic tools that support early detection and enhance healthcare outcomes.
