My background is that of both a professional architect, and an academic in sustainable architecture, who received a PhD in Nanotechnology & Architectural Design. I am currently Assistant Professor in Architectural Engineering & Environmental Design, Faculty of Engineering & Technology at AAST in Alexandria, Egypt (Arab Academy For Science, Technology and Maritime Transport). In addition to my passion for academia, I have always had an interest in entrepreneurship and feel my training and education will give me a unique and effective perspective in the business sector. I have attended several workshops in Egypt, as well as the United Kingdom, and recently completed some courses in entrepreneurship organized by Babson University, ILO and the Wadhwani Foundation to follow the international standards of entrepreneurship through the education systems. I was recently tasked to lead the Startup Support Department at the AAST Center of Entrepreneurship in 2018. This experience has proved invaluable in laying the foundation for my transition into the startup world, and my interpersonal skills will be a vital asset in working with a team on new projects and ideas.
