biography

A professor specializing in translation as well as linguistics, particularly Discourse Analysis, with extensive academic and professional experience. Adept at teaching a variety of courses across institutions and possessing a publication record, including contributions to Q1 Web of Science and Q1 Scopus journals. My scholarly interests revolve around critical discourse analysis of media and terrorist narratives, gender representation, and translation. Interested in reading the ancient Egyptian society via linguistic lens. A reviewer for top-tier journals (Web of Science Q1 & Q2; Scopus Q1), and Associate Editor of Insights into Language, Culture and Communication. Notably translated significant works such as The Handy Encyclopedia of Religions, Doctrines and Parties from Arabic into English, and The American University in Cairo's Human Resources Manual from English into Arabic. Conducted specialized workshops for the Egyptian State Information Service and senior government officials. Revised the translation of judgments passed by the Egyptian Supreme Constitutional Court. Journalistic translation/editing specialist.
