Prof. Nevine Sobhy Abdel Megeid is a Professor of Accounting at the College of Management and Technology, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Egypt. She has over 24 years of combined academic and professional experience in accounting education, research, training, and academic administration. She was awarded the rank of Professor by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities in 2024, following her promotion to Associate Professor in 2016. Prof. Sobhy has held several senior academic leadership positions at AASTMT, including Vice Dean for Educational Affairs, Vice Dean for Training Affairs and Community Services, and Head of the Accounting Department. She currently teaches undergraduate and postgraduate accounting courses and is actively involved in MBA programs, professional master’s programs, and executive training. She holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from Ain Shams University, with a research focus on risk management and supply chain accounting. She is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and an International Business Driving License (IBDL) holder. Her teaching and consulting experience extends to national institutions such as the Egyptian Banking Institute and the Central Bank of Egypt, in addition to extensive experience as a freelance CMA instructor. Prof. Sobhy has a strong research profile with numerous publications in reputable national and international journals, including Scopus- and Q1-ranked journals. Her research interests include corporate governance, ESG and sustainability disclosure, financial reporting quality, audit quality, risk management, and financial performance. She serves as a reviewer for several high-impact international journals and has supervised and examined numerous master’s theses. Her professional expertise combines academic excellence, applied research, institutional leadership, and capacity building in accounting education and professional training.
