Ahmed Hussein is an Associate Professor of Supply Chain Sustainability and Sustainable Performance, Head of the Energy and Petroleum Logistics Management Department, and Vice Dean for Student Affairs at the College of International Transport and Logistics (CITL), Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT). He graduated from CITL in 2010, earned his Master’s degree in Supply Chain and Logistics in 2014, and completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Transport Systems, and Logistics at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. He has extensive experience in teaching, research, and professional training. He has delivered numerous master-level courses at leading institutions and supervises both master’s and PhD students internationally and locally. Since 2019, he has been a member of AASTMT’s Sustainability Committee, contributing to institutional strategies on sustainable development. Alongside his academic career, he has designed and delivered training programs for organizations such as the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA). He is actively engaged in European and local research projects, bridging academia and industry in the fields of logistics and sustainability. In addition, he serves as an editor for a peer-reviewed academic journal, further highlighting his commitment to advancing research and knowledge dissemination in supply chain and logistics management.
