biography

Rania El-Sharkawy is a Faculty member at the Electrical and Control Engineering Department, College of Engineering and Technology, AASTMT (Cairo Campus) since 2006. She has nineteen years of research experience as well as teaching experience for the undergraduate and postgraduate students. She was a research scientist at the High Voltage Laboratory, National Institute for Standards, Giza (1996-2006). Currently, she is the Assistant Dean for Quality Assurance at the College of Engineering, AASTMT(Cairo). Her research interests are in the areas of power systems, high voltage measurements and the application of intelligent techniques for the assessment of insulation systems. She has contributed as a peer reviewer in several international journals and conferences.
