AHMED MOHAMED AHMED AHMED HEBALA

Assistant Professor, Electrical and Control Engineering

biography

Ahmed Hebala received his PhD degree from the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, U.K in January 2023 in the field of electrical machine design. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Alexandria, Egypt, in 2013 and 2017, respectively. His MSc dissertation was recognised and Awarded by the Egyptian Ministry of Education as one of the best theses in Egypt for the period from 2016 to 2021. He was awarded the Marie Curie Research Fellow and has been a Research Fellow with the University of Nottingham from 2018 to 2021. He was an Assistant Lecturer with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport for three years. He also worked for a major electrical machine design company (MDL) in Wales, UK. As well as for Mako Aerospace where he worked as an Electrical Propulsion Engineer developing aircraft electrical systems. Currently, he is full-time assistant professor with the department of Electrical and Control Engineering in the AAST. His main research interests include the design and optimization of electrical machines, thermal management of electrical machines, renewable energy sources, and process automation.
