The Arab Center for Sustainable Civil Society Invites AASTMT to Participate in the Session "Impacts of Climate Change on Achieving Sustainable Development Goals" as Part of the Vision 2030 Forum

The Arab Center for Sustainable Civil Society has invited the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) to participate in the monthly discussion session of the "Vision 2030 Forum" through a lecture presented by Dr. Kareem Tonbol, Dean of Scientific Research for the Maritime Sector at AASTMT.

The session, titled "Impacts of Climate Change on Achieving Sustainable Development Goals," will focus on key topics, including:

  • Evidence and causes of climate change
  • Sources of greenhouse gas emissions
  • The relationship between climate change and sustainable development goals
  • The role of civil society organizations in addressing and mitigating climate change

The session will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. via Zoom, and those interested in attending can register through the provided link.

The Vision 2030 Forum, organized as part of the Civil Society Sustainability Observatory by the Arab Center for Sustainable Civil Society, aims to raise awareness and knowledge on priority development issues, highlighting various developmental efforts within society.
