The Department of Marine and Offshore Engineering at the College of Engineering and Technology, AASTMT, is pleased to announce the fourth edition of the "ROBO PIRATES 2026" competition.
Teams are challenged to design and build a robotic boat to compete across three distinct stages:
Stage One (Physical Presentation): Presenting the boat's concept, design, and construction phases.
Stage Two (Route of Death): Navigating obstacles and hitting targets while enduring water cannon strikes.
Stage Three (Robo Pirates Fight): The main battle where teams attempt to sink their opponent's boat within 15 minutes.
Competition Requirements:
Minimum of 15 students per team.
Boat dimensions: Width and Length (50 cm to 150 cm), Maximum Depth (100 cm).
Gas is permitted for flame-based systems; however, liquids, chemical weapons, and electrical weapons are strictly prohibited.
Important Dates:
Inspection Deadline: Monday, May 4, 2026.
Competition Date: Thursday, May 21, 2026, at AASTMT, Abu Qir Campus.
Certificates and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three "Pirates of the Sea" teams.
