Acquisition and Collection Development

The main job of the Acquisition and Collection Development department is to provide the Library with printed and electronic information resources of books, journals, and databases. The department receives requests for new book or journal titles from colleges and educational departments, and then performs the needed administrative and financial procedures to acquire those titles. As soon as the requested materials arrive, the department registers them and then directs them to the relevant Library department - to be processed and ready to use by Library users:

  • Cataloging and Classification department receives printed books, theses, and projects.
  • Reader and Collection Services department receives printed journals.
  • Information Services department receives access data of e-journals and databases.
