Occupational Health and Safety Courses

First Aid provision in the workplace saves lives. It can prevent minor problems or injuries from becoming major ones. It can help employers reduce costs from injury. As an employer, you are legally required under health and safety regulations to provide appropriate first aid equipment, facilities and trained personnel in your workplace.


Course Objectives

  • What is First Aid?.
  • How and when to call Emergency Services.
  • Principles of Treatment.
  • Patient Approach and Examination (Scene Safety).
  • Brief Introduction to Wounds and Bleeding.
  • Head injuries.
  • Dressings and bandages.
  • Shock–fainting.
  • Unconsciousness.
  • Recovery position.
  • Asphyxia and its causes.
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation practical.
  • Treating foreign bodies, chemical splashes.
  • Burns and scalds.
  • Fractures, Sprains, Strains and Dislocations.

Duration

  • 3 Days / 12 Hrs.

Certification

  • Certificate approved by The AASTMT

Teaching Language

  • English / Arabic

Instructor/Trainer Qualification

  • Consultant with experience in First Aid.
