Dr. Mai Mohamed Nabil Mohamed Hammouda is a Lecturer at the College Language and Communication (CLC), Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT). She is currently the English for Marine Engineering Technology courses Academic and Quality Assurance Coordinator at the College of Maritime Transport. Dr. Hammouda was an Acting Head of the Languages Unit at AAST – South Valley branch, from July till September 2023. Her job responsibilities entail supervising, coordinating and the material development of all the courses she coordinates. She is interested in the fields of Translation and Applied Linguistics, particularly the multimodal analysis of visual and written texts. She has a teaching experience of 19 years, teaching a variety of ESP courses, Technical Writing and Research Methodology. Dr. Hammouda was also responsible for teaching and coordinating ESP courses in different colleges at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport. From September 2013 – February 2016, she was responsible for teaching and coordinating ESP I, ESP II and Speech & Communication Skills courses at the College of Computing & Information Technology. From September 2016 – September 2017, she was an Assistant to the Vice Dean of Training and Community Services at the College of Language and Communication, in addition to teaching and coordinating English for Tourism courses at the College of Management and Technology – Miami Campus, as well as coordinating the ESP Zero courses at the College of Language and Communication (CLC). From September 2018 till February 2021, Dr. Hammouda was the Academic and Quality Assurance Coordinator of the English for Engineering I & II courses at the College of Engineering & Technology. In March 2022, Dr. Hammouda earned her PhD in Applied Linguistics from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and Alexandria University Joint Program. In March 2017, she earned her MA in Applied Linguistics from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and Alexandria University Joint Program. In May 2005, she earned her BA in English Language from Faculty of Al- Alsun, Ain Shams University.
